CES continues under full steam and we’ve got some more goodies from the show floor to share with you…

Angry Birds Knock on Wood

For people worried that video games are the death of real-world games the family can play together, show them this. No one is safe from the Angry Birds, and that includes the family cat when the kids get ahold of that non-virtual bird-shooting slingshot!

Orbotix Sphero

The beauty of the Sphero is that it’s very open-ended. Basically, it’s a robotic ball that you control from a smart phone. It’s being pitched primarily to developers right now, with the plan to sell it, and accompanying games, later in the year. If you’ve got a game you can build around a robotic ball rolling around in the real world, Orbotix wants to hear from you.

Samsung HMX-Q10

Full HD camcorders are getting much smaller and much more affordable on an almost daily basis. Take Samsung’s HMX-Q10. It’s got Samsung’s Easy Operation, which puts all controls on a user-friendly touchscreen, and Switch Grip, which senses the angle at which the camera is being held and adjusts the display, so it’s always easy to follow what you’re recording without bending your neck in odd directions. The 10x optical zoom lens is coupled with a 5MP sensor, giving a 2.75mm – 27.5mm focal length. All of this can be yours in February for $299.

Samsung BD-D7500

Every time a new must-have box for attachment to the television rolls out, the space available for those boxes shrinks accordingly. So it’s good to see manufacturers making some slimmed down components for our A/V racks, like the Samsung BD-D7500, billed as the world’s slimmest Blu-ray player. It’s 1.1-inches deep, has 2D-3D conversion, 1080p upscaling and built-in Wi-Fi.

That’s it for Friday’s roundup. We’ll have more stories throughout the day for you here at GeekBeat.TV, so don’t be a stranger!
